**Team:** ASIC verification team With some free time during Thanksgiving, I thought I'd share my job hunting experiences and insights from this semester in the hardware (ASIC, FPGA) field. I'm an ECE master's student at a university in central China. The school itself offers relatively few ASIC-related courses, and it felt somewhat disconnected from the industry. Fortunately, the CF (Computer Science) courses and subsequent recruitment events were very helpful; most of my interviews this semester were secured through CF and these events. In the first half of this year, I applied for internships late and failed several phone interviews (I was unfamiliar with US interviewing styles and unfortunately encountered several interviewers with strong accents, which led to failure). Therefore, I interned at a multinational company in China during the summer (I originally applied for their Chicago position, but since they were full there, I was moved to Shanghai).
