During the campus recruitment fair, there was a 30-minute interview where I was asked about an NMOS circuit with an inverter, and how the voltage would change from an analog perspective, and how to write it in Verilog. The first round of phone interviews (45 minutes) covered Vth, mobility, and current variations with temperature . We discussed SRAM basic operations, write-assisted and read-assisted concepts and practices, power classification (static, dynamic), how to reduce power consumption, GIDL current flow, charge sharing, energy sources during charge sharing, wire resistance and capacitance variations with wire width and length, RC delay, and why high-layer metal is still used even with non-variable RC delay.
